The plein air practice

Each month, I bring my art supplies outside and paint from life. My focus is wherever I happen to be that month and I mostly end up depicting local landscapes in and around the GTA.

Plein air is a way of working that's completely different from my studio practice and it is teaching me to see the landscape in an entirely new way.

Sharing the landscape

I create a postcard from the painting I create en plein air and share some of my experience with you in the form of a note. I leave the postcard blank on the back so that you can mail it to someone in your life, or keep it for your home.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

$7CAD for Canadian addresses and $9CAD for all other international addresses.

Postcards are sent through the letter mail and are untracked. Please allow up to 4 weeks for your postcard to arrive.

Where do I join?

Plein air postcard club is hosted through Patreon, a reputable platform for creators to host and operate monthly subscription services.

You will need to log into/create an account through Patreon to join the club.

When can I sign up?

Anytime throughout the month! The last day of the month is the last day to sign up to receive the post card for that month. For example, if you want to receive the August post card, you need to be subscribed by August 31.

When will I be billed?

Billing begins on the day you become a member and every month on that date for as long as you stay a member. For example, if you join on August 11th, you will be billed on the 11th of each month.

How is the postcard sent to me?

All postcards are sent in an envelope through the letter mail. There is no tracking. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your postcard to arrive.

When will I get my postcard?

Postcards are sent by the 5th of the following month to allow for production & processing. For example, if you subscribe for the August postcard, it will be sent by September 5th.
